The OB-3620 UltraAir is designed to help protect the skin and prevent bedsores for individuals who spend long periods in bed. It uses gentle alternating air pressure and soft airflow to relieve stress on the body, keep the skin cool and dry, and reduce irritation, allowing the patient to rest more comfortably and with greater safety. This support is especially important for preventing skin breakdown and maintaining comfort over time.

Cell-on-Cell Mattress Design / 24H Power Outage Protection

This mattress is built with a cell-on-cell structure that helps keep the lower portion inflated for up to 24 hours in the event of a power outage, helping prevent the patient from “bottoming out.” If a power failure occurs, the system provides both audio and visual alerts while maintaining inflation in the bottom layer as long as the air hose remains connected to the control unit. The control unit, located on the footboard of the bed, is simple for caregivers to operate and manages all essential functions smoothly, even in urgent or unexpected situations.

Vibration Massager to Aid Phlegm Removal

The OB-3620 includes four integrated vibration massagers controlled by an advanced microprocessor with multiple massage options. These gentle vibrations help loosen chest congestion and promote phlegm removal while also reducing tension, easing discomfort, improving circulation, and supporting overall respiratory health. This is especially valuable for individuals with limited mobility or chronic lung conditions.

Multiple Rotation Angles (15°/25°/40°):

The mattress offers several rotation angles—15° left, 25° left, 25° right, 25° automatic rotation, and 40° automatic rotation—to meet a variety of patient needs. These controlled turning motions help increase patient activity while in bed, assist lung function by helping move phlegm, reduce the risk of pulmonary infections, and support better physical therapy outcomes. These features are beneficial for long-term care, recovery, and patients unable to reposition themselves.

15° Self-lateral Rotation:

The 15-degree self-lateral rotation function uses specialized air cells that inflate and deflate in sequence to create a gentle wave-like motion. This continuous movement helps redistribute weight, improve sleep, relieve pressure points, stimulate circulation, and reduce the risk of bedsores—especially for patients who cannot turn on their own. 

Patented Inflatable Air-Filled Guardrails

The patented inflatable air-filled guardrails offer a safe and comfortable alternative to metal side rails. A mid-section opening allows for safe and easy entry and exit. The rails can be inflated or deflated with a single button, helping prevent falls without causing injury or bruising. Their soft but supportive structure makes them ideal for long-term care, home care, and situations where patient comfort and safety are priorities.

Patented “Easy Go” Bedpan Function

The “Easy Go” bedpan function allows caregivers to press a single button that deflates four air cells under the buttocks within about 20 seconds. This creates a recessed opening for a bedpan, making in-bed toileting far easier and more comfortable for the patient while reducing physical strain on the caregiver. The feature improves dignity, safety, and hygiene for bedridden patients.

Patented “Easy Go” Shampoo Function

With its one-touch shampoo function, the head section of the mattress gently deflates to create a recessed area that accommodates a shampoo basin in about 20 seconds. This simplifies hair washing for patients who cannot be moved easily, minimizing discomfort and unnecessary movement while improving the caregiving experience.

Patient-Centered Safety Design

The mattress includes a sinking feature that allows the surface to lower up to 4 inches while the patented 4-inch guardrails stay in place, creating an 8-inch soft, protective boundary. This design keeps the patient properly centered during alternating pressure cycles and rotational therapy—even during 40-degree turns—while still giving caregivers easy access for repositioning and daily care. This “centralization” helps maintain patient safety during all mattress functions.

This is especially important for individuals of all ages with Stage 1 through Stage 4 pressure ulcers or high-risk skin conditions.

Fowler & Seating

The Fowler and seating function adds extra support under the torso and seat when the head of the bed is elevated, helping prevent the patient from sliding or bottoming out and reducing pressure injuries while seated.
